Living

What's it like as a place to live? Brilliant. Liverpool is a lively town, especially with the 2008 capital of culture; there is always something to do.

How's the student accommodation? Really good, free cleaners for common areas and its's really modern and quite reasonable.

What's the student population like? Genuinely friendly. There are people from all sorts of diverse backgrounds along with local students so you have the opportunity to get to know many different people and cultures.

How do students and locals get on? Great community atmosphere. The locals understand it's a student area.

Studying

What's it like as a place to study? Flexible courses and great tutors plus excellent facilities.

What are the teaching staff like? Interesting and also entertaining. They very much engage the students.

Socialising

What are student societies like? The union is the heart of the university with different events 3 times a week. The guy who does it really works hard for the students!

What's a typical night out? Starts with cheap drinks in the union then a taxi into town, which is relevantly inexpensive due to the student bars which are in their plenty.

And how much does it cost? Usually around £20-£25.

How can you get home safely? Inexpensive taxis.

Money

Is it an expensive place to live? It depends how you manage your money but an OD (overdraft) is helpful!

Average price of a pint? £1.40.

And the price of a takeaway? £3.50.

What's the part-time work situation? University helps you find work, provides lots of jobs for students within university.

Summary

What's the best feature about the place? The union and the community feel.

And the worst? The hard work!

And to sum it all up? Liverpool Hope is like a home away from home but without the rules and with a lot of other people in your situation!
